Welcome to the world of long string flow wand! Coming into this flowshop with a basic understanding of short string and being able to keep the wand upright will be beneficial, but definitely not necessary as I will start from the beginnings and explain my method of spinning the wand, which I find to be quite different from others. I like to incorporate different prop styles into my wandering such as rope dart, staff, and hoop. Sound interesting? Then we will go into continuous escalators.

Dancing with Hoops

Begin with a musicality and movement exercise where we workshop how to personify a song as a whole and in sections.
Then we begins the basic physics and dynamics of proper turns and leaps.
After that we explore the concept of level changes and giving each body part a turn to speak.
We wrap the class up with using our new techniques to express different types of music and discuss how we applied these techniques to further our personal expression.
