Juggling Club Grips

Juggling Club Grips is a beginner level workshop geared towards those who would like to explore various ways to hold and utilize a juggling club before diving into tossing the object repeatedly.

Participants will learn many different grips with one, two, and three clubs. Multiple functions will be demonstrated for each grip and participants will have an opportunity to explore their own comfort following these guidelines. Traditional grips, spinning grips, and multiplex grips are just some of the topics covered in this class.

Club Juggling "Spin Control"

Practicing the art of spin control will lead to mastery over a huge range of juggling tricks. This class focuses on the technical details of how to control exactly how fast the club spins while in the air during juggling. I will cover high throws, low throws, fast spin, slow spin, no spin, reverse spin, half spin, and tons of tricks that are based off combining those skills.

Simple 3-Club Manipulations

This is a beginner club class focusing on legos and traps. Legos are a visually striking method of manipulating clubs with a very low drop rate making them loads of fun for beginners and vets a like. A trap is when the handle of one club is pressed into another club against the forearm of the arm holding them, a basic and useful building block that we will explore in a variety of ways. No actual toss juggling experience necessary. Beg.

Material in the workshop is backed up by siteswap notation for those with a curious mind, although no knowledge of the topic is required.

Siteswap 101

Siteswap is a juggling notation that uses numbers to help describe the order in which your props are thrown and caught. In this workshop you will learn how to understand these numbers. You will learn the difference between the even and odd numbers within the siteswap as well as the meaning of the length of numbers. Each part is important for recreating a multitude of juggling patterns.

Juggling balls will be available for use during the class and participants may keep the juggling balls.

Partner Juggling - Passing, Steals, and Replacements

This workshop focuses on three different types of partner juggling!

Passing is where you manipulate 4-5 objects between two or more people.

Stealing is where you interact with 3 objects between two people, such as stealing an entire pattern from them while they are juggling.

Replacements are where you have 3-4 objects between two people, and you replace objects as you remove them from someone else's pattern.

Club Swinging: Basics and Grips

This class is an introduction to club swinging. The first half will cover how to hold your clubs in a variety of different grips and what specific moves are available in each grip. Then students will learn a sequence that ties the grips together and demonstrates grip transitions.
