Creative Transitioning

Year:
2015

This workshop will cover several techniques to incorporate more creativity into your flow by combining tricks you already know, while discovering new ones by thinking outside the box (or circle). We will discuss how to recognize where tricks can start and end. Many tricks do not necessarily have any given starting or ending position, which means there may be multiple points where you could end a particular trick and start a new one. We will work on creating multiple transitions, each with the same starting move to show that stopping a trick at different points can allow you to transition into many different tricks. We will focus a lot on smaller physical details as well, such as hand grips, grip changes, body positioning, footwork, and how to creatively pioneer new tricks and combinations. We will also work with partners to come up with fun combos and concentrating on transitioning between the tricks.
